Just South of Wollongong lies a little known Secret in the making...
The Southern Illawarra is just after the Wollongong CBD and steelworks. In particular the suburbs surrounding Lake Illawarra and down into Shellharbour. These areas are known for being more affordable than the northern suburbs and offer a great lifestyle along with rapidly improving infrastructure. Shellharbour Train Station was recently opened at a cost of $39 million along with a new Civic Centre at a cost of $60 million.
These two projects are small fry compared to the SHELL COVE MARINA - a $1.5 Billion development including 270 berth Marina for luxury yachts, a retail and commercial precinct and upmarket housing development. In November 2017 Matt was the keynote speaker at a local event hosted by Finance Control Warrawong - called "The Ripple Effect" this was a review of the marina and various infrastructure projects status and impact on the surrounding area.
